The premiere months have been set for Disney+’s upcoming Marvel series “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” and “WandaVision,” as well as the second season of “The Mandalorian.”

“The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” will launch in August of this year and “WandaVision” will follow in December, Disney CEO Bob Iger said during the company’s earnings call Tuesday. The next chapter of “The Mandalorian” will debut this October.

Earlier Tuesday, Disney disclosed in its first-quarter earnings that Disney+ had topped 26.5 million subscribers in the first two months after its Nov. 12 launch. However, Iger said during the earnings call that the 26.5 million reflects the sub count through the end of the quarter. As of Feb. 2, Disney+ has 28.6 million subscribers, according to the Disney chief.

Disney’s streaming service unveiled a first look at “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” and “WandaVision,” as well as its upcoming “Loki” series starring Tom Hiddleston, in a Super Bowl LIV spot on Sunday. Readers can view that promo here.

Disney had previously revealed that “Falcon and Winter Soldier” would launch in 2020, with “WandaVision” coming later this year, and “Loki” set for some time in 2021.

When “The Mandalorian” Season 1 finale dropped on Disney+ last December, creator Jon Favreau revealed that the second season of his Pedro Pascal-led live-action “Star Wars” series would debut this fall — but the premiere month, October, is news for Baby Yoda fans.

“The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” stars Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan, who reprise their big-screen roles as Sam Wilson aka Falcon and Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier, respectively. The upcoming series will focus on Wilson, aka Falcon, taking on the mantle of Captain America. At the end of “Avengers: Endgame,” an elderly Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) hands Wilson his shield.

Kari Skogland is directing the six-part miniseries. Emily VanCamp and Daniel Bruhl also reprise their roles as Sharon Carter and Helmut Zemo, respectively, on “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.”

“WandaVision” puts its focus squarely on Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), aka Scarlet Witch, and Vision (Paul Bettany), though what exactly it’s about is not really clear at this time. We just know it’ll be wacky and sitcom-ish, traits that are on full display in this ad.
