‘The Flash’ Season 2 Trailer Teases Jay Garrick and the Multiverse (Video)

Grant Gustin returns for CW superhero drama premiering on October 6

Jay Garrick is coming to Central City, and he has a stern warning for “The Flash” and friends, in the newest trailer released for Season 2 of The CW’s superhero drama.

Teddy Sears‘ Garrick, the DC comic book character who was the original Flash, is seen for the first time in the new footage, showing up in front of Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen, Central City’s current super-speedster.

“My name is Jay Garrick and your world is in danger,” the newcomer says. Cisco (Carlos Valdes), ever quick on his feet, immediately raises the question of what other worlds are out there, exactly.

The 30-second teaser then goes on to explain just how “The Flash” will be introducing the often-teased Multiverse this season, and it has everything to do with Barry’s actions to save the city from a singularity in the Season 1 finale.

The new teaser also shows off Adam Copeland as Atom-Smasher, perhaps the first character to enter through the portal created by the singularity.

Season 2 of “The Flash” will see DC comic book villain Zoom as the main bad guy, with Tony Todd recently cast to voice the mysterious super-speedster.

“The Flash” returns for Season 2 on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
