“The Soup” is set to air an hourlong special from the Talladega Superspeedway on Oct. 23.
In a teaser for the live episode, host Joel McHale gets a glimpse of how Dale Earnhardt Jr. uses his pit crew to help him get ready for a dinner out, and gets a makeover of his own.
The E! clip show will air ahead of NASCAR’s Camping World 500 race on Sunday, Oct. 5, and will feature cameo appearances by several of the sport’s drivers.
“When I think of NASCAR, I think of an incredibly popular sport that millions of people love and watch every week,” McHale said. “And when I think of ‘The Soup,’ I think ‘We should do something with NASCAR.’ Also, I’m looking very forward to bringing clips from ‘Party Down South’ back home so they can be at peace.”
