‘The Talk’ Hits Eight Month Ratings Highs During Halloween Week

CBS daytime show also posts double-digit gains in total viewers week over week

CBS daytime show “The Talk” hit a ratings high note during Halloween week.

“The Talk” scored an eight month high in the ratings for the week beginning Oct. 26, according to numbers released by Nielsen on Thursday. The show averaged 2.9 million viewers per episode, up 14 percent from last week and nabbing its largest weekly audience since the week of Feb. 23.

The talk show also posted a 1.0 rating in the women 25-54 demographic and a 0.7 in the women 18-49 demographic.

“The Talk” also recently bested ABC’s “The View” during premiere week in September. “The Talk” delivered 2.36 million viewers for the week beginning on Sept. 21 compared to “The View’s” 2.31 million.

Likewise, the CBS daytime show scored in the women 25-54 demographic with a 0.9 rating, while “The View” got a 0.8. “The Talk” also won out in women 18-49 with a 0.6 against “The View’s” 0.5.

“The Talk” has been steadily rising in the ratings, recently beating “The View” for the first time ever in the women 25-54 demo. For the 2014-2015 broadcast year, “The Talk” averaged a 1.0 rating in the women 25-54 demo, while “The View” averaged 0.9. “The Talk” also tied “The View” for the first time in women 18-49 demographic with a 0.7.
