‘The View’s’ Raven-Symone Declares Jeb Bush, Carly Fiorina GOP Debate Winners – You’ll Never Guess Why (Video)

Co-host of ABC’s daytime talk show voices appreciation for the candidates’ wardrobe choices

“The View” co-host Raven-Symoné had no doubts about who won CNN’s Republican presidential debate when the panel discussed it on Thursday’s show.

“To me, best dressed goes to Jeb Bush and Carly [Fiorina],” she said, prompting co-host Paula Faris to point out that fashion plays a major role in Raven-Symoné’s day-to-day life.

“Well, yeah,” Raven-Symoné responded. “You better dress right. If I have to, why don’t you?”

Michelle Collins jumped in with a joke about Fiorina’s wardrobe: “She could’ve zipped that jacket all the way up, but she was like, ‘No, gentlemen. Here’s two inches. Enjoy all that.’”

The hosts of ABC’s daytime talk show spent the top half of the show discussing Wednesday night’s second Republican presidential debate, which ran for three hours and featured 11 candidates.

“I aged watching it. I looked like Colonel Sanders by the end, with white hair,” Collins said.

Moderator Whoopi Goldberg took issue with the debate’s focus on partisan politics and lack of serious policy ideas, especially from frontrunner Donald Trump. She went on to say that though she was initially impressed by Fiorina, the former Hewlett-Packer CEO let her down by the end.

“I thought she had some traction, but then she lost me … Instead of following through, she then went back to the program and started blaming Obama,” Goldberg said. “You went back to partisan politics, and I had to leave your ass alone.”

The panel also discussed the debates losers, including Ted Cruz, who spent much of the debate looking directly into CNN’s camera, and Ben Carson, who struggled to maintain his energy.

“What about Dr. Ben Carson? Someone needs to check his vital signs,” Behar joked, before moderator Whoopi Goldberg sent Carson a message through the camera to “Wake up.”
