‘The View’ Split on Vivica A. Fox’s ‘Booty Snatcher’ Diss of 50 Cent
”A booty snatcher definitely combed that weave,“ co-host Michelle Collins cracks during discussion of actress’ insinuation that her rapper ex-boyfriend is gay
After her fellow co-hosts expressed shock at the comment, Collins said, “That’s funny. You can say that.” She was quoting Fox from an interview on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live,” during which Fox said that a magazine cover featuring 50 Cent and Soulja Boy made her ex look like a “booty snatcher,” a slang term for a gay man.
Co-host Joy Behar thought that Fox has a right to bad-mouth the rapper. “I don’t like when people say anything negative about my ex,” she said. “I’m the only one who allowed to do that because that means that I’m the idiot that married him. Keep your mouth shut.”
Raven-Symone thought that Fox should be more cautious, however. “She shouldn’t talk about any of her exes on that type of show, especially an ex like 50 Cent who will come for you in the sense of words and a rap battle,” she said. “He’s gonna come for you.”
On “Watch What Happens Live,” host Andy Cohen asked Fox about 50 Cent sharing a blog post saying that the season two ratings of “Empire” dipped because of too much “gay stuff.” Fox replied, “First of all, you know the pot called the kettle black is all I’m saying.”
When pressed to elaborate on the statement, Fox said that 50, who stars on and produces rival “Empire” show “Power,” is not gay. “We had a great time,” she said. “He just seems like he’s got something that’s not quite clear.”
