TLC Sets ‘My 600-Lb Life’ Premiere, New Series ‘Skin Tight’ (Exclusive Videos)

Fourth season of reality series to be accompanied by new weight loss docuseries

TLC has set a January 6 return for the fourth season of its reality series “My 600-lb Life,” which will be accompanied by the debut of new series “Skin Tight,” TheWrap has learned.

Each hour-long episode of “My 600-lb Life” tells the story of one morbidly obese individual — many who are home bound, relying on care just to live day-to-day — as they make the decision to undergo gastric bypass surgery.

The popular series documents the life-saving, but traumatic experience of surgery, the ups and downs of struggling with addiction and dependence, and the inevitable impact that change has on personal relationships.

“Skin Tight” will follow 12 people after extreme weight loss who must continue to undergo medical procedures to deal with the excess skin left behind.

“My 600-lb Life” Season 4 will premiere at 9 p.m. ET on TLC, followed by “Skin Tight” at 10 p.m.
