Question: is there rhyme or reason to how the 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards announces the presenters who'll appear on the show?
Every day for the past week, the Academy has revealed another more-or-less random group of names of a few more participants in the show. No doubt they'll continue to do it just about every day until the Emmy ceremony on August 29. Today, it’s the little-in-common crew of Jon Hamm, Eva Longoria Parker, Jim Parsons (left) and Blair Underwood.
Hamm and Parsons are nominees, Parker and Underwood aren’t. Hamm and Parsons and Parker are on current shows; Underwood is on an upcoming series, “The Event.” They bring to 19 the total number of presenters, which means we’re probably less than halfway to the full list.
So far, no show has more than one presenter except for “Mad Men,” with Hamm and January Jones, and “30 Rock,” with Tina Fey and guest actor Arnett.
