Tom Cruise doesn’t just wake up to die a few days in a row in “Edge of Tomorrow,” he suffers a different death every day for “an eternity.”

The movie star reveals the incredibly long timeline for Warner Bros.’ upcoming sci-fi action flick in a new trailer (above) released Monday.

Emily Blunt co-stars as a soldier suffering the same exhausting fate as they battle an invading race of aliens who have the upper hand on humanity because they have the power to reset the day. Cruise and Blunt accidentally absorb the same power, and must use it to figure out how to save the world.
