‘Transformers: The Last Knight’ Super Bowl Spot Preview Teases Big Threat (Video)

The 30-second video features more footage of Bumblebee facing off against Optimus Prime

Paramount has released a 30-second Super Bowl spot for “Transformers: The Last Knight,” showing a big threat.

“Your world is dying,” says a voice. “Do you seek redemption?”

Mark Wahlberg, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Anthony Hopkins and Laura Haddock will star in the tentpole directed by Michael Bay, who has directed all other previous installments in the blockbuster franchise.

The first trailer for the fifth “Transformers” movie dropped in December, in which Hopkins asked the questions of all questions: Why do the Decepticons keep coming back to earth?

“Two species at war, one flesh, one metal,” Hopkins says while we see what seems to be a dead Optimus Prime. However, later in the trailer, we see Optimus Prime ask for forgiveness before he stabs Bumblebee with a sword.

The “Transformers” movies have grossed over $1.3 billion at the domestic box office. In 2009, “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” was the biggest movie of the summer, while 2014’s “Age of Extinction” was the only film of the year to top $1 billion worldwide.

“Transformers: The Last Knight” will hit theaters on June 23.

Watch an extended cut of the trailer on Sunday, when the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons hit the field for the Super Bowl LI in Houston.
