President Donald Trump responded to the wave of accusations leveled by Omarosa Manigault-Newman in her upcoming book and excerpted in The Guardian, calling his former aide a “lowlife.”
The president was at a Bikers for Trump event at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, on Saturday when a reporter asked if he felt betrayed by Manigault-Newmane and her claims in her book “Unhinged: An Insider’s Account of the Trump White House,” which will be released on August 14.
“Lowlife. She’s a lowlife,” he responded, putting his hand to the side of his mouth as if whispering. Watch the embed below.

According to excerpts obtained by The Guardian, Manigault-Newman’s book includes passages in which she calls Trump a “racist,” who has used the “N-word” repeatedly. She also wrote that there are tapes to prove that the president was caught on mic saying the racial slur on his former NBC reality show, “The Apprentice.” She cited three unnamed sources.
She went on to write that she felt a “growing realization that Trump was indeed a racist, a bigot and a misogynist. “My certainty about the N-word tape and his frequent uses of that word were the top of a high mountain of truly appalling things I’d experienced with him, during the last two years in particular,” she wrote.
The existence of tapes from Trump’s time on “The Apprentice” has been pointed to by others in the past, including actor and comedian Tom Arnold, who said in an interview following the 2016 election that he has a video of Trump using racist language in outtakes from the show.
