Malin Akerman is heading to the Chatswin.
"Watchmen" actress Akerman has joined the cast of ABC's "Suburgatory" for its upcoming second season, which kicks off Oct. 17, the network told TheWrap.
Akerman will play Alex, a singer-songwriter and the estranged mother of Tessa Altman (Jane Levy), who attempts to connect with her daughter. The "Childrens Hospital" actress is slated to appear on the series' Thanksgiving and Christmas episodes.
Model/actress Akerman is also scheduled to play ill-fated XXX pioneer Linda Lovelace in the upcoming film "Inferno." She replaced Lindsay Lohan in the role.
"Suburgatory" will air Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m. upon its second-season return.
TV Line first reported the news of Akerman's "Suburgatory" casting.
