"Burn Notice" can still produce plenty of heat as it embarks upon its final season.
The Season 7 premiere of the USA series kicked off Thursday at 9 p.m. with a boost as it heads toward next week's 100th episode.
The season premiere drew 4.319 million total viewers, a 12 percent jump over last June's Season 6 premiere.
In the 18-49 demographic most important to viewers, Thursday's "Burn Notice" premiere was essentially flat. However, Thursday's premiere was up in both total viewers and the key demo, over its Season 6 premiere in November, climbing 24 percent in total viewers and 11 percent in the demo.
The series premiere of USA's "Graceland," starring "Rescue Me" alum Daniel Sunjata, during the following hour also performed admirably.
"Graceland" drew in 3.317 million total viewers with its premiere, on a par with where USA's "Suits" was in its time period last year. It was a good showing, particularly given competition from the Game 1 of the NBA Finals, which dominated ratings on Thursday night.
The "Graceland" premiere was widely distributed prior to airing via VOD, online and a screening at the South by Southwest festival. USA hopes that the increased sampling will drive larger tune-in for future episodes.
