Veteran CAA theatrical agents Kim Hodgert and Kami Putnam-Heist have jointly left their Century City, California, home to become managers at Anonymous Content, TheWrap has learned.

Hodgert logged 26 years at the company, representing clients like Joel Edgerton, Margot Robbie, Gugu Mbatha-raw, Alden Ehrenreich, Dane DeHaan, Sam Worthington, Dakota Fanning, Ruth Wilson, Eva Mendes and Hailee Steinfeld.

Heist had been with CAA for 5 years, with a previous stint at WME. At CAA, Putnam-Heist represented James Franco, Dave Franco, Joe Manganiello, Brit Marling, Gia Coppola, Logan Lerman, Jennifer Connelly, America Ferrera, Nina Dobrev and Zachary Levi.

While the move to management signifies a career pivot for both executives, its unclear what will happen to the A-list clients in the balance. It’s customary that talent would retain both a manager, to steer larger career trajectories, and an agent, to actively seek individual projects and peripheral deals like product endorsements.

The relationship between the departing Heist and Hodgert and their former employer is amicable, an individual familiar with the transition said.

Anonymous Content recently received a substantial minority investment from Emerson Collective, the organization founded and run by Laurene Powell Jobs. Terms of the investment were not disclosed, though it was  confirmed that Emerson Collective will get a seat on the company’s board.

Earlier this year, Anonymous Content became the first independent production company to win Golden Globe awards for Best Picture (“The Revenant”) and Best Television Series (“Mr. Robot“) in the same year.
