VH1 Greenlights Reality Competition That Will Pit Twins Against Each Other

“Twinning” will test the “twin-tuition” of contestants who once shared a womb

VH1 is doubling down with its latest program.

The network has given the go-ahead to the reality competition series “Twinning” (working title), which will test identical twins’ “twin-tuition.”

The series, from “Dating Naked” producers Lighthearted Entertainment, will find twelve sets of twins going against each other in pursuit of a $222,222.22 (get it?) grand prize. As the pairs of twins compete, viewers will be treated to “double the meltdowns, double the hook-ups, and, of course, double the twists as the contestants are pushed to their limits in unexpected ways,” VH1 said.

VH1’s EVP of original programming and production Susan Levison said that the new offering is “a crazy concept and we are all the way in,” said Susan Levison, EVP of Original Programming and Production for VH1. This will be a competition series like no other and we love to pique our viewers’ twinterest.  Come one, come all for the noisiest house show in years.”

“Twinning,” which has received an order for 10 hour-long episodes, will premiere in summer 2015.
