‘View’s’ Joy Behar Gets Her Own Talk Show

She’ll join HLN this fall as host of the a nightly one-hour discussion of the day’s news and other watercooler issues.

"The View" co-host Joy Behar is going to primetime. She’ll join HLN this fall as host of the new nightly one-hour "The Joy Behar Show."

 

She will continue with her duties on "The View."

 

The new show will focus showcase Behar’s personal take on the day’s news, according to a statement from HLN (formerly Headline News), offering "a full hour of Joy’s passionate point of view, sharp wit, and no-nonsense approach" on the day’s news and provocative watercooler issues.

Along with her co-hosts of "The View" (Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Sheri Shepard and Elizabeth Hasselbeck), Behar has received 11 consecutive Daytime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Talk Show Host. She also has hosted her own radio show and written three best-selling books.

Conway Cliff, an excutive producer at CNN Worldwide for 10 years, will be the show’s executive producer.
