The first clip for James Franco‘s “King Cobra” has been released, in which you can see Garrett Clayton as porn actor Sean Paul Lockhart and Christian Slater as a producer.
In the clip, we hear Lockhart, also known as Brent Corrigan (played by Clayton), call someone on the phone, telling her that he’s been asked to stay in an “internship” program for another month. Slater puts on a night mask.
The Justin Kelly-directed drama portrays the early rise of Lockhart before he fell out with the producer (Slater) who made him famous. When this happens, a pair of rival producers (played by James Franco and Keegan Allen) become predators. Alicia Silverstone and Molly Ringwald also star.
“King Cobra” will have its word premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on Saturday.
