Watch Disney CEO Bob Iger Shooed Off Oscar Red Carpet by Fire Marshal

The red carpet was denied to the man in charge of broadcasting the 91st Academy Awards on Sunday

Disney chief Bob Iger is one of the most important executives in Hollywood — but he’s no match for the fire marshal, apparently.

Iger, alongside Disney chairman Alan Horn, was blocked by the fire marshal from walking the red carpet at the 91st Academy Awards on Sunday night. After a brief look of confusion ran across his face, a perplexed Iger turned around and walked away. It’s probably worth pointing out the Oscars are airing on ABC — the same network Iger presides over.

The moment was captured by Variety reporter Ramin Setoodeh on Twitter.

We’re guessing Iger eventually made it into the Dolby Theatre for the show.

The 91st Academy Awards is airing on ABC.
