Watch Nintendo’s New Anime Short for ‘Star Fox Zero’ (Video)

Shigeru Miyamoto created the 15-minute short with the studio that made “Attack On Titan,” and Star Fox has never looked better

For the first time in a decade, gamers can dig into a brand new Star Fox game, and Nintendo has wasted no expense to make the wait worth while for the fans.

Along with releasing the new Wii U game, “Star Fox Zero,” Nintendo has brought out a new CGI anime short that sets the stage and reintroduces the furry space mercenaries to the world. The short was made by Production I.G. and WIT Studios, who have made top anime shows like “Attack on Titan” and “Ghost In The Shell.”

If you’re a fan of either of these series, then the short’s high animation quality and exciting aerial fight scenes will come as no surprise.

Shigeru Miyamoto also had a hand in the film, and it shows. Falco is still a hotshot, Slippy is still a dope, and the dogfights in the Arwings are still filled with corny one-liners.

The Star Fox that longtime fans remember from their N64 days has been resurrected and given the campy Saturday morning cartoon treatment it deserves.
