Netflix has just debuted the first trailer for the “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: A Midwinter’s Tale” holiday special, featuring “séances, evil Santas, spellcasting, and of course, Sabrina.”
In the holiday-themed one-off, the Church of Night, like all covens, celebrates the Winter Solstice – the longest night of the year – when families gather around the Yule Fire to sing pagan carols and tell ghost stories. But the holidays are also a time for guests and visitors – both welcome and unwelcome – so you never know what might come down the chimney.
Series stars Kiernan Shipka, Miranda Otto, Lucy Davis, Ross Lynch, Michelle Gomez and Chance Perdomo will all return for the episode, along with Jaz Sinclair, Tati Gabrielle, Adeline Rudolph, Abigail Cowen and Lachlan Watson.
Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Donna Thorland co-wrote the special, part of Netflix’s larger holiday line-up. Jeff Woolnoug directed the episode.
“Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: A Midwinter’s Tale” will launch Dec. 14 on Netflix.
