Warner Bros. is trying to figure out ways to cut its budget by 10 percent as the studio nears a likely settlement with Fox over its “Watchmen” film.

Warner Bros. is trying to figure out ways to cut its budget by 10 percent as the studio nears a likely settlement with Fox over its "Watchmen" film, reports Reuters. Though a Warner Bros spokesman said "no decisions have been made" regarding cost cuts, the studio is expected to institute a round of layoffs. Meanwhile, a scheduled court conference between Fox and Warner Bros. attorneys next Tuesday has been cancelled, an indication that a settlement between the two parties may be imminent.  The Los Angeles Times reports Warner Bros. has every intention of recouping any damages from the "Watchmen" imbroglio from the film’s producer Larry Gordon, his lawyers and their insurers, a final bill that could amount to tens of millions of dollars.
