Duchovny and his band were onstage performing songs from his upcoming album, “Hell or Highwater,” when he invited Anderson onstage to provide back up vocals. After the song ended, Duchovny walked over to Anderson and planted a kiss on her.
The pair played FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully on the hit Fox show from 1993 to 2002, and will reprise the roles in an upcoming reboot. Though their characters never hooked up onscreen, the two were often praised for their chemistry.
Fox announced Monday that the six-episode series will premiere in January. Former stars Mitch Pileggi and William B. Davis, who played FBI assistant director Walter Skinner and the Cigarette-Smoking Man respectively, will also return.
