TV Land announced Tuesday that it has renewed “Younger” for a 12-episode fourth season, well in advance of the Season 3 premiere.

The comedy, from creator Darren Star, was just renewed for a third outing at the TCA winter press tour in January. Season 3 began production this week and is set to premiere on September 28.

“The show is a force in and of itself, so it’s a no-brainer to renew it again,” said Kevin Cox, Executive Vice President of Development and Original Programming for TV Land. “Critics and fans love it, and I know Darren and the entire cast and crew behind ‘Younger’ will continue to deliver at the top of their game.”

The series stars Tony Award winner Sutton Foster as Liza, a 40-year-old woman trying to reinvent her career and love life by posing as 26 year old. Hilary Duff, Debi Mazar, Miriam Shor, Nico Tortorella, Peter Hermann and Molly Bernard also star.

Star serves as writer and executive producer, alongside Tony Hernandez of JAX Media, who executive produces the comedy for TV Land. Dottie Zicklin and Eric Zicklin also serve as executive producers and writers on the series.
