Disney has offered a glimpse at just how profitable its franchises are as its proxy battle with activist investors Trian Fund Management and Blackwells Capital heats up.

In a presentation released this week, the House of Mouse revealed that it has seen a 9.9 times return on investment on “Frozen,” a 5.5 times ROI on “Toy Story,” a 3.3 times ROI on Marvel’s “Avengers” and a 2.9 times ROI on “Star Wars.”

The parents of a Ukrainian journalist who was killed while covering the war for Fox News in 2022 sued the corporation on Thursday for “reckless and negligent conduct.”

The wrongful death suit was filed in New York State Supreme Court by Andriy Kuvshynov and Iryna Mamaysur two years after their 24-year-old daughter Oleksandra “Sasha” Kuvshynova was killed, along with cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski, on March 14, 2022.

The U.S. domestic box office in 1999, according to Box Office Mojo, saw films like “Star Wars: Episode 1 — The Phantom Menace” top the charts with $431,088,295; with “The Matrix” ($171,479,930); and “The Blair Witch Project” ($140,539,099) rounding out the top 10.
