FX Cancels ‘Married’ After 2 Seasons

Series creator Andrew Gurland tweeted the news Monday

FX has canceled “Married” after two seasons.

The series, starring Nat Faxon and Judy Greer, followed longtime married couple Russ and Lina Bowman, who struggled to remember what their life was like before kids, debt and suburbia.

Series creator Andrew Gurland announced the news on Twitter Monday. “There will be no season three of @MarriedFX. Thank you @FXNetworks for the opportunity and thank you to all the fans. It’s been a blast,” he wrote.

The Season 2 finale, now the series finale, aired Oct. 1 to just 593,000 viewers and 388,000 adults in the 18-49 demographic.

FX has several new comedies on its slate, among them Zach Galifianakis’ “Baskets,” Donald Glover’s “Atlanta” and  Pamela Adlon’s “Better Things.”
