Guy Pearce and Amy Ryan Board Drake Doremus’s ‘Like Crazy’ Follow-Up

Felicity Jones will reunite with the indie director

Indie director Drake Doremus has lined up some heavy weight talent for his next feature.

Guy Pearce and Amy Ryan are attached to star, but aside from those critical favorites, the director is also reaching out to many the people who made "Like Crazy" a film festival breakout.

The as-yet untitled film reunites Doremus with his "Like Crazy" star Felicity Jones. He co-wrote the screenplay with Ben York Jones, who previously collaborated on "Like Crazy."

"Like Crazy" won the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance this year. Jones picked an award for her acting in the film at the festival.

No details about the plot, but the filmmakers tease that "It will be a film about the nature of love and marriage."

Production begins in August.

Jonathan Schwartz and Andrea Sperling from Super Crispy Entertainment and Steven Rales and Mark Roybal from Indian Paintbrush will produce. Indian Paintbrush will finance the film.

Project deals were negotiated by Indian Paintbrush’s Peter McPartlin, Doremus’ attorney Larry Kopeikin (Morris Yorn), and UTA’s Rich Klubeck and David Flynn.

Pearce is represented by CAA, and Jones is represented by CAA, Independent Talent in London, and Attorney Jodi Peikoff. Ryan is represented by The Gersh Agency and Attorney Dave Feldman (Bloom Hergott), and Doremus is represented by UTA.
