Lady Gaga Hitches a Ride With Mario Andretti at Indianapolis 500 (Video)

The pop star fills in for Keith Urban at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Lady Gaga has already knocked off a Golden Globe win and an Oscar nomination from her bucket list in 2016, and now the pop star can say she’s participated in the Indianapolis 500.

The “Til It Happens to You” singer took a ride with racing icon Mario Andretti for three laps around the track during a parade before the start of the race.

“She decided to do it, and all of a sudden here we are,” Andretti told USA Today on Sunday before driving Gaga. “She’s going to distract me quite a bit, actually. I hope I can just look ahead while I’m driving.”

A video camera aboard the indy car captured Gaga waving to fans attending the race, which Andretti won in 1969.

According to USA Today, Gaga was filling in for Keith Urban, the country star who was originally paired with Andretti. A back injury, however, forced Urban to cancel his high-speed tour of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
