OWN to Launch Second ‘Oprah’s Lifeclass’ Course With Brené Brown (Exclusive)

Bolstered by the response to Part 1, the cable channel moves forward on its next interactive program

School is back in session at OWN.

Following the huge response for its first E-Course with Brené Brown, the cable network is moving forward on a second set of courses.

“Oprah’s Lifeclass Presents Brené Brown: The Gifts of Imperfection Part Two” will begin Sunday, March 30, 2014.

Additionally, OWN is offering a second chance to experience Part 1. The course will be available again on Sunday, Jan. 12 on the website. Registration for both programs begins Monday at Oprah.com.

“The positive reaction we saw from thousands of users around the world as they engaged with the weekly activities and connected with the community and Brené through this e-course was powerful,” said OWN and Harpo Studios president, Erik Logan, in a statement.

For a limited time during the holidays, registration for the six-week courses are $69.99 separately or combined for $109.99. After that, the cost for each course will be $79.99.

Registrants will get live online Q&A sessions with Brown in addition to the course’s social component. Each week begins with an intention-setting exercise from Brown and a special video with Winfrey’s thoughts on each lesson.

Brown is a University of Houston professor, TED speaker and author of the New York Times bestselling book, “The Gifts of Imperfection.”

Not even three years old, OWN has been an early adopter of using social media to enhance the viewing experience. This year, the network won an Interactive Media Emmy for “Oprah’s Lifeclass.”
