Defense attorneys for Marc Cherry grilled Nicollette Sheridan on Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court about whether the "Desperate Housewives" showrunner slapped or hit the actress.
At one point, Sheridan grew so agitated that Judge Elizabeth Allen White urged the actress to calm down.
Sheridan was testifying as part of her $6 million wrongful termination suit against against ABC and Cherry.

Adam Levin, a defense attorney for Cherry, hammered away at the actress, pointing to discrepancies in documents she filed with the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, in which she claimed that the "Desperate Housewives" showrunner had slapped her.
"He hit me, and he hit me hard sir” Sheridan said. "I’ve always maintained that he hit me."
Sheridan said that her attorney filled out the original documents, which is why the altercation was described in different terms.
Prior to delving into the intricacies of the alleged confrontation with Cherry, Sheridan took the court through the filming of her final episode on the show.
Sheridan's character Edie Britt was killed off after five seasons. In her suit, Sheridan claims she was unfairly ousted from the series after complaining that Cherry had hit her during a 2008 argument.
Sheridan said that executive producer George Perkins told her that "Marc Cherry was surprised how smoothly and quickly it went, and he had hoped I would have been more distraught.”
