Sorry, Carrie Underwood: You’ve been a bit bumped. One Direction is set to return for its second year to headline the Los Angeles-based Billboard Hollywood Party on ABC’s “Dick Clark‘s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2016.”

“It’s been an incredible year for us and we can’t wait to ring in the New Year with all our fans on New Year’s Rockin’ Eve,” One Direction said in a statement. “It’s an honor to be back at the Billboard Hollywood Party for our second year.”

The now four-piece 1D will perform three songs throughout the bicoastal celebration. Original boy band member Zayn Malik ditched the group in March.

Previously announced performer Underwood will be playing to fans in New York City’s Times Square, just before the ball drops.

As for the past decade, Ryan Seacrest will host the shenanigans. Jenny McCarthy will serve as Manhattan reporter, Fergie will handle the duties in L.A. Overall, the giant party boasts more than 38 performances and 5-and-a-half hours of music. It all kicks off Thursday, Dec. 31 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Dick Clark‘s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2016″ is produced by Dick Clark Productions with Seacrest, Allen Shapiro and Mike Mahan serving as executive producers and Barry Adelman and Mark Bracco are co-executive producers. Larry Klein is producer.
