Ratings: ‘Jane The Virgin,’ ‘The Originals’ Hand CW Top Monday in 3 Years

ABC’s “The Bachelor” rose one-tenth of a ratings point on Monday night, giving the network a key demo victory over Fox by the same margin. CBS was tops in viewers on a tight, slow evening.

The CW boasted its own accomplishment in primetime: The network’s 1.648 million viewers was its most for a Monday in more than three years — since Oct. 24, 2011. It’s 0.7 demo rating is the best for the weeknight in two years (Dec. 17, 2012). Still, the CW finished sixth in both the 18-49 demographic and total viewers last night.

ABC was first in ratings with a 1.8 rating/5 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and second in viewers with an average of 6.9 million, according to preliminary numbers. “The Bachelor” at 8 p.m. earned a 2.2/6 — a primetime best — and 7.9 million viewers. A rerun followed.

Fox was second in ratings with a 1.7/5 and fourth viewers with 5.2 million. “Gotham” at 8 received a 2.1/6 and 6.1 million viewers. “Sleepy Hollow” at 9 got a 1.4/4 and 4.3 million viewers.

NBC was third in ratings with a 1.6/5 and in viewers with 5.8 million. “The Celebrity Apprentice” at 8 had a 1.8/5 and 6.4 million viewers. “State of Affairs” at 10 received a 1.0/3 and 4.5 million viewers.

CBS was fourth in ratings with a 1.5/4 and first in viewers with 8.7 million. “The Super Bowl’s Greatest Commercials ’15” at 8 earned a 2.1/6 and a night-high 10.8 million viewers. Repeats followed.

Univision was fifth in ratings with a 0.9/3 and in total viewers with 2.3 million.

The CW was sixth in ratings with a 0.7/2 and in total viewers with 1.6 million. “The Originals” at 8 had a 0.7/2 and 1.7 million viewers. “Jane The Virgin” at 9 got a 0.6/2 and 1.6 million viewers.

Telemundo was seventh in ratings with a 0.4/1 and in total viewers with 923,000.
