Ratings: ‘Sons of Anarchy’ Tops All Shows Across Broadcast, Cable

FX biker drama draws nearly 6 million total viewers with its return

The Season 6 premiere of FX biker drama “Sons of Anarchy” topped all programs in broadcast and cable on Tuesday night.

The 90-minute premiere episode, which aired at 10 p.m., had 3.9 million viewers in the key 18-49 demographic for a 3.1 rating. It drew 5.9 million total viewers.

Compared to last season’s premiere, Tuesday night’s “Sons” improved 9 percent in total viewers and 13 percent in the demo.

Tuesday’s premiere also marked series highs across the board for “Sons,” and yielded the best delivery for the demo of any program in FX’s history.

Between the original broadcast and encore airings, the “Sons of Anarchy” premiere amassed 8.1 million total viewers, with 5.3 million of them in the 18-49 demo.
