Susie Fitzgerald Named AMC-SundanceTV’s EVP of Scripted Programming

Christian Vesper and Kristin Jones also elevated to new positions under Joel Stillerman

Susie Fitzgerald has been named executive vice president of scripted programming for both AMC and SundanceTV, the companies announced Wednesday.

The exec most recently served as senior vice president of scripted development and current programming for AMC.

Additionally, Christian Vesper, who most recently was senior vice president of scripted development and current programming for SundanceTV, has been named senior vice president of international programming, development, acquisitions and co-productions for the network.

Kristin Jones, who was brought on in 2014 by AMC as a consultant focused on international scripted projects, has officially joined the network as senior vice president of international programming, development, acquisitions and co-productions.

All three executives will report to Joel Stillerman, president of original programming and development for AMC and SundanceTV.

Kristin Felton has also joined the network as vice president of scripted programming and will report to Fitzgerald.

“As we look to build on the success of both AMC and SundanceTV, we’re so happy to recognize these creative individuals who contribute so much to each network,” said Stillerman in a statement. “Susie has helped lead AMC to record-breaking heights with shows like ‘The Walking Dead’ and ‘Better Call Saul.’ We’re excited to have her extend that expertise to the work being done at SundanceTV, which Christian has played a significant role in shaping for over a dozen years. With Christian overseeing all international projects for SundanceTV, we’ll continue our strong momentum in bringing the best of the world’s dramas to the U.S. and attracting premier partnerships as we’ve done with ‘The Honorable Woman’ and ‘Top of the Lake,’ among many others. At AMC, Kristin has already made a significant impact on our programming line-up, from the successful launch and renewal of ‘Humans’ to next year’s highly anticipated mini-series ‘The Night Manager.’ There’s a lot to look forward to at both AMC and SundanceTV, and we’re thrilled to have these proven and talented programming executives on our teams.”
