Matthew Morrison joins “The Good Wife” this Sunday, but he and one of the show’s stars, Christine Baranski, have a past that the two would both rather forget.
“I actually did a movie with her back in the day and I brought it up to her and she almost died laughing because I think it was the worst movie we’ve both ever been a part of,” Morrison told TheWrap. “It was called ‘Marci X,’ with Lisa Kudrow and Damon Wayans. We got a good kick out of that one.”
Luckily, Morrison is far more excited about his role on the CBS series, in which he will play Connor Fox, an assistant U.S. Attorney responsible for imprisoning the last four Illinois governors.
“Peter Florrick is the next on his list,” Morrison said. “He [Connor] just believes in the law and wants to uphold it and Peter has been a bad boy.”
“The Good Wife” will end after this season, and Morrison could not be more thrilled that he gets to be a part of the show, even if it’s at the end.
“I’m such a huge fan of the show. My wife and I watch it religiously,” he said. “It’s an actor’s dream to be on this. It’s so well written and it’s so well acted. To be thrown into the mix and knowing these characters so well, I kind of forget what their real names are. I call the actors by their characters’ names.”
“The Good Wife” airs this Sunday at 9 p.m./8c on CBS.
