AMC has hired Jason Fisher as senior VP of production.
Fisher comes from ABC Studios, where he served as VP of production since 2007. He'll report to Joel Stillerman, AMC's senior VP of original programming, production and digital content.
Fisher joins the network as its more than doubling its original-programming load. Having added "Rubicon" over the summer to award-winning holdovers "Breaking Bad" and "Mad Men," AMC is in the process of launching Frank Darabont's apocalypse-themed "The Walking Dead."
It also has crime drama "The Killing" in the works.
Fisher will be based in New York.
