Worst: Cat got your tongue, Prince? Presenters didn’t read the nominees’ names or announce winners, with the former job being handled by the show announcer and the latter taking place courtesy of images on screens above the stage.

Best: Ariana Grande: You kiss your grandmother with that mouth? Oh yes, you do — and it’s very sweet. Grande not only debuted a new ditty on Sunday’s AMAs, she also brought granny as a date. The two shared an especially sweet moment after the younger Grande captured the Favorite Female Artist – Pop/Rock award.

Best: Anna Kendrick tells everyone she hates them. Kendrick referenced a threesome and a dead hooker in her acceptance speech for “Pitch Perfect 2’s” best soundtrack win, then ended by jokingly telling her collaborators on the movie, “I don’t like you at all.”

Worst: Get a room, you two. No, seriously, Meghan Trainor and Charlie Puth — absolutely no one within the reach of ABC’s rabbit ears wanted to see you guys hardcore make-out after an otherwise nice duet. Clearly, Puth is “All About That Bass,” considering how much his “Lips Are Movin.”

Best: “Hello,” Muppets. How sad is it that one of the best moments of the 2015 “American Music Awards” was a commercial? Well, it’s true. Miss Piggy and Kermit spoofed Adele’s “Hello” to plug their Tuesday sitcom — and it worked for everybody on the Internet.
