Artsploitation Films Picks Up Erotic Science Fiction Film, Neo-Nazi Drama

"Combat Girls" and "Vanishing Waves" will get limited theatrical releases

Artsploitation Films has acquired the German drama "Combat Girls" and the Lithuanian science fiction film "Vanishing Waves," the company said Friday.

Both films will screen at Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas.

Artsploitation plans to give them a limited theatrical release and will also handle their DVD rollout.

The subject of matter of "Combat Girls" is decidedly grim, focusing on a pair of young women caught up in the neo-Nazi movement. Their relationship is tested after one girl decides to leave the group of fascists when she finds her beliefs challenged after meeting an Afghan boy.

"Vanishing Waves" sounds a bit lighter. It centers on a scientists who finds himself experiencing an erotic, psychic link with a comatose patient after undergoing a series of radical experiments.
