ABC held on to its summer Sunday ratings crown last night despite its top series “Celebrity Family Feud” slipping one-tenth of a Nielsen point from last week. The Disney-owned broadcaster can credit “$100,000 Pyramid” for picking up the slack.
Thanks to the night’s No. 1 show, “Big Brother,” CBS kept its firm grip on second place.
ABC was first in ratings with a 0.7 rating/4 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 4.5 million, according to preliminary numbers. Following a repeat, “Celebrity Family Feud” at 8 p.m. earned a 0.8/4 and 5.6 million viewers. At 9, “$100,000 Pyramid” put up a 0.8/4 and 4.9 million viewers. At 10, “To Tell the Truth” received a 0.6/3 and 3.6 million viewers.
CBS was second in ratings with a 0.6/3 and in viewers with 4.3 million. At 7, “60 Minutes” got a 0.6/4 and 6.6 million viewers. “Big Brother” at 8 scored a 1.0/6 and 4.4 million viewers. At 9, “Instinct” settled for a 0.3/2 and 3.4 million viewers. At 10, “The Good Fight” got a 0.2/1 and 2.9 million viewers.
NBC was third in ratings with a 0.4/2 and in viewers with 2.1 million. Sandwiched between repeats, the “U.S. Track and Field Championships” at 8 p.m. managed a 0.3/1 and 1.5 million viewers.
Fox was fourth in ratings with a 0.3/1 and in viewers with 901,000. The network filled its primetime block with repeats.
