i-Trailers Launches With Interactive ‘Sex and the City 2’ Trailer

Content-rich trailers offer information to engage viewers who click

Mark Woollen and Associates, which has created movie advertising for film ranging from "Schindler’s List" to "Slumdog Millionaire," has launched i-Trailers LLC, which uses a proprietary platform to produce content-rich, interactive movie trailers.

The first i-Trailer, for Warner Bros.’ upcoming “Sex and the City 2,” debuted online Monday.

The rich-media interactive trailer, with 59 "hot spots," allows viewers to get an inside look at the movie and into the closets of Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda. A user who clicks on a dress or location sees the designer’s name and behind-the-scenes facts about the film.

“i-Trailers offer filmmakers and studios the opportunity to continually refresh the online trailer experience while engaging the audience more deeply into what is special about a film,” Mark Woollen and Associates’ Woollen, CEO of i-Trailers, said in a statement. “i-Trailers is fully customizable, can contain merchandising links, behind-the-scenes content, and with all the cool stuff to look at, users may now spend anywhere from 10-30 minutes watching a trailer.”

i-Trailers also offers e-commerce capability, giving filmmakers and studios revenue-generating potential; users can purchase or pre-order movie tickets instantly.

i-Trailer senior VP Sohini Sengupta said the i-Trailer also can be customized for iPad, iPhone and other mobile devices, as well as localized.

The i-Trailer runs with just an internet connection; there is no software to download.
