It appears that Lindsay Lohan will have to let the old maxim "a picture speaks 1,000 words" stand for itself — at least when it comes to her meet-up with Ellen DeGeneres.

The "Mean Girls" actress has canceled an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" scheduled for Thursday, Lohan's publicist confirmed to TheWrap.
Lohan was to give DeGeneres the only interview about her nude Playboy cover and pictorial, which hits newsstands at the end of this week.

Lohan was forced to cancel the appearance due to a travel snafu — the actress "was delayed in Hawaii due to a travel-related issue" on Tuesday, and unable to return in time for the taping, according to Lohan's representative. The show was "unable to shift things around," and since Tuesday was the last day of taping for the show this season, an alternate date wasn't possible.
According to a spokesperson for the magazine, there will be no other interviews about the pictorial.
Lohan reportedly received nearly $1 million for the photo shoot.

This wasn't the only scheduling mix-up relating to Lohan's photo-shoot; the magazine released its January/February 2012 issue on its site ahead of schedule, after the entire spread leaked online.
The good news for the actress? She made it back from Hawaii in time for her probation progress hearing Wednesday morning, and TMZ reports that she passed with flying colors.
According to the site, Judge Stephanie Sautner opened the hearing by telling the 25-year-old, "Miss Lohan, you have actually done your work."
Sautner went on to note that Lohan finished her community service for the month early, attended an extra therapy session, and managed to please the Los Angeles County morgue with her community service — "at least as pleased as a morgue can be," Sautner cracked.
Lohan is due back in court next month for another probation progress hearing.
