Nakia and Okoye may be the fiercest warriors in Wakanda, but that doesn’t mean Lupita Nyong’o and Danai Gurira didn’t have a few clumsy moments when bringing them to life on the set of “Black Panther.”
To hype the hit Marvel film’s release on digital this week, Nyong’o posted a gag reel on Twitter showing the cast’s sillier moments. Among the highlights include Michael B. Jordan struggling to plant the explosives during the scene where Killmonger breaks Ulysses Klaue out of prison, Letitia Wright showing off her moves between takes, and doors failing to open when the credits roll. Apparently movie sets are not as technologically advanced as Wakanda.

The clip also shows Gurira and Nyong’o sharing a laugh when Gurira accidentally dislodged a piece of their car while filming the movie’s chase scene through the streets of Korea. And it seems Gurira had a hard time climbing onto the top of the Lexus in that dress of hers. To be fair, that’s probably in character, considering Okoye is not a fan of formal attire.
“Black Panther” has been a cultural phenomenon and a box office hit, grossing $1.34 billion worldwide, taking the No. 9 spot on the all-time box office charts. It comes out on digital release this Tuesday and on Blu-Ray on May 15.
