Two months after a public spat with MSNBC that resulted in her abrupt departure from her own show on the cable news network, Melissa Harris-Perry has been named editor at large of Elle.com.

Harris-Perry will write columns, host videos and conduct interviews for the website, according to CNNMoney. She is expected to begin later this week.

“This gives me a chance to talk politics, but also culture, race, gender, and literally shoes,” Harris-Perry told CNNMoney. She will host a web series called “Sole Search,” interviewing people while they shop for shoes. Although her gig isn’t technically full time, she is expected to appear on the website frequently.

Harris-Perry’s tenure at MSNBC came to a sudden end in February when she refused to host her show after being bumped for political coverage on numerous occasions.

She then bashed MSNBC president Phil Griffin, apologized to former colleagues, and accused MSNBC of having a “culture of fear” via Twitter.

She also made headlines in 2015 when it was revealed that the anchor and her husband owed $70,000 in delinquent taxes.

Harris-Perry is also an endowed professor at Wake Forest University.
