Sara Bareilles will deliver the “In Memoriam” performance at the 89th Oscars this coming Sunday, show producers Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd announced Thursday.

“Sara’s unique artistry will honor those we’ve lost in our community, including familiar faces and those behind the scenes who have enriched the art of moviemaking,” De Luca and Todd said in a statement.

Bareilles’ songs include 2007’s “Love Song” from her debut album “Little Voice” and “Brave” (2012). She has received six Grammy nominations, which include Song of the Year, Female Pop Vocal Performance and Album of the Year for “The Blessed Unrest.”

She also released a book titled “Sounds Like Me: My Life (So Far) In Song” in 2015, which became a New York Times bestseller. She also composed the music and lyrics for the musical “Waitress,” which gave her a Tony Award nomination for Original Score and a Grammy nomination for Musical Theater Album. She makes her Broadway acting debut in “Waitress.”

Last year, Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters performed the “In Memoriam” song.

The 2017 Oscars will be held on Sunday at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles and will air on ABC at 7 p.m. EST/4 p.m. PST. Jimmy Kimmel is hosting.
