Actor Rodger Bumpass, the voice of Squidward Tentacles in “SpongeBob SquarePants,” was arrested Friday night on a DUI charge, a spokesman for the Burbank, California, police department told TheWrap on Tuesday.
According to police, officers were dispatched just before 11 p.m. regarding a car stopped in the middle of the street on the 400 block of S. Fairview Street. When they arrived, police saw a PT Cruiser with Bumpass leaning against it. The actor walked away as the cops approached, and according to officersย he was “very unsteady on his feet and nearly fell.”
