Tia Mowry-Hardrict is sticking around Nickelodeon for at least another season.
The youth-skewing cable network has both renewed Nick at Nite and NickMom family comedy “Instant Mom” for a second season and ordered six additional episodes of the currently airing first season.
“In just a couple months since its debut, ‘Instant Mom’ has resonated remarkably well with the Nick at Nite and NickMom audiences,” said Nickelodeon’s President of Content Development and Production, Russell Hicks. “We’re thrilled to witness its early success alongside See Dad Run and families enthusiastic about Tia and an undeniably charismatic cast.”

Currently airing Sundays on Nick at Nite at 8:30/7:30c, the series also airs on the adult-targeted NickMom comedy block on the Nick Jr. channel.
Executive-produced by Howard Michael Gould and Aaron Kaplan, “Instant Mom” stars Mowry-Hardrict as Stephanie, a full-time stepmom who struggles to maintain her fun-loving, slightly irresponsible life at the same time. It also stars Sheryl Lee Ralph, Sydney Park, Tylen Jacob Williams and Damarr Calhoun.
Nick at Nite is improving in “Instant Mom’s” time slot. It posted year-over-year gains with Adults 18-49 (.31/336K, +15%) and Women 18-49 (.43/237K, +23%) and drawing 1.2 million total viewers per episode, since its Sept. 29 premiere. Its NickMom debut that that same night was the TV block’s highest-rated premiere ever with women 18-49 and total viewers.
