“Kung Fury,” the ’80s movie of your dreams, is coming your way if it can reach its $200,000 Kickstarter goal by Jan. 25. And after releasing a visually stunning first trailer this week, the production is well on its way.
The project, launched by Sweden-based production company Laser Unicorns, has already received over $192,000 in donations that will go toward finishing the 30-minute movie following the titular renegade cop traveling back in time to Nazi Germany in order to kill Hitler and end the Nazi empire once and for all.
David Sandberg wrote and directed what he’s hoping will eventually become a feature-length film (for another $1 million) featuring arcade-robots, dinosaurs, nazis, vikings and even norse gods.
