‘Weird Al’ Yankovic Joins John Oliver to Plead ‘Please Don’t Nuke Us, North Korea’ (Video)

Parody singer invokes Tom Hanks’ name to prevent Armageddon

John Oliver knows his own plea to North Korea would just fall on deaf ears, if it even made it over there. So, the “Last Week Tonight” host brought out “Weird Al” Yankovic — who brought out his accordion — last night to try and broker some peace.

“Please don’t nuke us, North Korea/Right now we’re all a little tense/Believe me/we don’t hate you/Frankly, we don’t even think that much about you/no offense,” the parody singer belted out on Sunday.

Hopefully the ditty will offset President Trump’s “fire and fury” remarks.

Just in case that refrain didn’t work, the “Eat It” and “White & Nerdy” singer reminded Kim Jong-un that if he killed us all, it would wipe out our beloved celebrities.

“Oh, why in the world would you kill Tom Hanks?” Yankovic sang. “Because nobody doesn’t like Tom Hanks!”

Fair point. Watch the video above.
