If there’s one thing “Westworld” loves, it’s handing puzzles to viewers at every opportunity.
Eagle-eyed fans were able to decode a secret in the Season 2 poster last week, and a similar message was hidden inside the Season 2 trailer that dropped on Thursday.
The code led fans to a new video, which is basically a commercial for Delos, the corporation behind Westworld, Shogun World, and any other parks we might be introduced to in the sophomore season. In the new video, we finally get a glimpse of what life is like in the outside world, away from the park, and it involves a lot of bright and shiny faces like this guy:

And this girl:

Of course, it’s all a glimpse through Delos’ eyes, so it’s safe to assume that not everyone’s life is surrounded in the bright light of an Apple commercial. Maybe these people are actually hosts, and Delos just wants us to think that the outside world is bright and shiny. Who knows!
“It feels like magic,” a robotic voice says in the trailer. “Because it’s better than real.”
Are things as perfect as they seem in Delos’ magical worlds? The voice stutters several times, and the video glitches, hinting at trouble coming to Delos.
The commercial promises “life without limits,” but some glitchy footage also shows a partially-completed robot throwing what seems to be a human (or maybe just another, but completed, robot) into something very dangerous-looking:

We’re appropriately freaked out now.
