Writers Guild of America East President Michael Winship and secretary-treasurer Bob Schneider will run unopposed for re-election, the guild said on Monday.
Vice President Jeremy Pikser will run against Jeff Christman, who is also a council candidate in the elections, set for the annual membership meeting on Sept. 19. Results are announced the next day.
There are six freelance seats and three staff seats open for the two-year terms that will run through 2015.

The 12 candidates for the six open freelance seats are Zhubin Parang, Bonnie Datt, David Atkins, Henry Bean, Bernardo Ruiz, Susan Kim, Robert Levi, Michael Lannan, Amy Sohn, Courtney Simon, Norman Steinberg and George Strayton. Datt, Bean, Ruiz, Kim and Simon are incumbents.
In the election for the three staff seats, Matt Nelko and Jeff Christman will run against incumbents Duane Tollison, Phil Pilato, Sue Brown McCann.
Freelance seats on the council are available to guild members in good standing who write for film, TV or digital media and whose employers are guild signatories. Staff seats on the council are available to members in good standing who work in news shops under guild contracts.
