Frank Coraci talks about working with Sandler ever since they were in college together during episode of TheWrap's “Drinking With the Stars”
Frank Coraci crafted the first Adam Sander-Drew Barrymore romance, “The Wedding Singer,” a landmark comedy that established the chemistry shared by its two leads.
Sandler was eager to make a romantic comedy at the time so he could introduce himself to new fans and demonstrate a little range. Coraci and Sandler were college friends, and the movie marked their first feature together.
It would be 15 years before they all worked together again on “Blended,” a new romantic comedy that opened Friday. TheWrap's Lucas Shaw spoke with Coraci about the chemistry between his two co-stars and how Barrymore has changed over the past 15 years.
